Introduction

Prior to works, a full R&D survey was completed to identify and manage asbestos-containing materials. All existing asbestos roof sheeting was safely
removed and disposed of in compliance with HSE regulations.

The roof was then reinstated with new composite roof sheets, delivering a weathertight, long-term solution.

Scope of Works

Amokable required full removal of an end-of-life asbestos cement roof and complete reinstatement with a modern composite roof system. Works had to be planned around live operations beneath, with strict compliance on asbestos handling, waste disposal and weather protection across a 16-week programme.

Full R&D asbestos survey to identify and manage all ACMs prior to works
Licensed removal and disposal of existing asbestos cement roof sheeting in line with HSE regulations
Temporary weather protection installed throughout to keep the building watertight during works
Structural inspection and remedial works to roof timbers and purlins where required
Supply and installation of new insulated composite roof sheets
New flashings, ridge cappings, gutters and rooflights
Full clean-down, snagging and handover documentation
Delivered to programme — 16 weeks, on budget, zero safety incidents

Project Outcome

A weathertight, long-life composite roof delivered safely on a live site — handed over on programme with full asbestos removal documentation and product warranties.
