Our Social Value
At RMLFS, our approach to Social Value is woven into every part of how we work. It’s not a box-ticking exercise — it’s a commitment to doing the right thing for our people, our community, and the environment.
As a paperless business, we’ve embraced digital ways of working that help reduce our environmental footprint while improving efficiency. From office to site, we do our best to make sure sustainability runs through everything we do.
Championing Local Communities
We’re proud to support grassroots sport across the region, sponsoring teams like Crossfield Girls U15 football, Caldy Rugby Under 9s, and Neston Cricket Club. These partnerships help create opportunities for young people to build confidence, stay active, and feel part of something bigger.
We also give back through regular charitable donations to important local causes. These include our local foodbank, North West Air Ambulance, Wirral University Teaching Hospitals, Liverpool Women’s Hospital, and Clatterbridge Hospital — all of which provide life-changing support in our region.

Developing the Next Generation
At RMLFS, we don’t just hire apprentices — we invest in them. We offer structured, hands-on apprenticeship programmes across multiple areas of the business, including roofing, scaffolding, and office-based roles. Our apprentices are given real responsibility from day one, working alongside experienced professionals who mentor and guide them through their journey.
We don’t see apprenticeships as short-term roles — we view them as the beginning of a career. Many of our current team members, including those in senior roles, started their careers with us as apprentices and have grown with the company. By nurturing talent from within, we’re helping shape a stronger future for our industry — one apprentice at a time.
RMLFS is built on people and we’re proud of the community we’ve created. At RMLFS, we’re proud to hire locally, supporting our community by creating jobs for people in the areas we work and contributing to the local economy.
Movement as a Habit
We actively encourage our team to move more during the workday. From group walks at lunch to mini step challenges, we aim to hit 10,000 steps a day as a team — promoting not just physical health, but a clear mind and better focus.
We also host weekly team runs and padel matches, creating space for fun, fitness, and connection outside the office. These regular sessions help strengthen relationships and boost morale while encouraging a healthy work-life balance.

Food That Brings Us Together
Each week, we gather to cook and share a homemade meal as a team. It’s more than just lunch — it’s a moment to pause, connect, and enjoy good food together. We see this as a key part of fostering healthy habits, both nutritionally and socially.
A Culture of Care
Whether it’s through fitness, food, or simply looking out for one another, our culture is designed to help every team member feel their best — mentally, physically, and emotionally.
At RMLFS, wellbeing isn’t just encouraged — it’s part of who we are.
