One meeting. Six bakeries.

A new account for RML, with roof works now under way across six GAIL’s Bakery sites.

GAIL’s Bakery

London

Introduction

RML met GAIL’s Bakery’s facilities team at a London FM event in March 2026. Within weeks we were surveying their first leaking bakery. Six months on, we’ve been called in to six GAIL’s sites, from urgent repairs and callouts to full flat roof overlays.

The Challenge

GAIL’s run busy neighbourhood bakeries on some of London’s busiest high streets, where a leak or damaged roof can’t be left. They needed a roofing contractor who could survey fast, give honest options and deliver without disrupting trading. It all started with a leak at Bromley.

The Solution

RML surveyed first and quoted clearly, then delivered each job with our own teams and safe access. We repaired Bromley and returned on callout, overlaid the flat roofs at Golders Green and Esher, and handled reactive works at Islington. RML is now set up as a GAIL’s supplier, with Seymour Place and Summertown surveyed and quoted.

Scope Of Works

  • Event to Supplier. Met at a London FM event in March, surveys requested within a week, set up as a GAIL’s supplier in April.
  • Bromley. Damaged pitched tiled roof stripped, re-tiled and made watertight, with a follow-up callout in September.
  • Golders Green. Approx. 160m² flat roof overlaid with a two-layer torchon system, 54m of new upstands.
  • Esher. Leaking felt roof at end of life overlaid with a 2-layer felt system, 20-year guarantee.
  • Islington. Reactive roofing works to keep the Upper Street bakery weathertight.
  • New Sites. Seymour Place and Summertown surveyed and quoted, with planned works in the pipeline.
