Coral’s premises on Ashington High Street required a full strip and re-tile of the existing pitched roof. The roof covering had deteriorated over time, leading to slipped and damaged tiles and an increased risk of water ingress. Due to the prominent High Street location, the project required careful planning to ensure public safety and minimal disruption to neighbouring businesses.

Due to the high street location, constant pedestrian traffic required enhanced safety measures and clear access management at all times. The works were carried out within a live business environment, with the premises remaining fully operational throughout, while weather constraints meant careful programming was essential to maintain watertightness during the strip-out works.

Solution

The roof was stripped and re-tiled in controlled sections to protect the building at all times. Scaffolding was fully boarded and netted to ensure public safety. High-quality materials were used throughout to deliver a durable and visually consistent finish in keeping with the surrounding properties.
