Live yard. New roof. Five days.
Hire Safe Solutions’ Runcorn depot is a busy plant hire yard, with access platforms and hire equipment moving in and out every day. RML installed a full profiled metal roof overclad in five days — with the depot trading normally underneath from start to finish.

The Challenge

The depot’s existing roof needed a full metal overclad, but Hire Safe Solutions could not stop trading. Hire vehicles, deliveries and yard traffic had to keep moving beneath the works for the full duration. Keeping the site live meant access, edge protection and material handling all had to be planned around day-to-day yard operations rather than the other way round.

The Solution

RML erected scaffold edge protection around the building perimeter and installed a new profiled metal overclad across the roof, working entirely from above. Works were sequenced to keep the yard below clear and safe, so Hire Safe Solutions carried on trading without interruption. The full overclad was completed in five days.
