The project required detailed planning, seamless coordination, and a combination of roofing systems to ensure both quality and minimal impact on day-to-day store operations.

RML were appointed to deliver a full roof refurbishment at the busy TK Maxx store in Lewisham. The project required a combination of strip and rebuild works, liquid waterproofing, and a two-layer felt overlay system all completed while ensuring the store remained operational throughout.

Operating above an active retail environment presented logistical and safety challenges, particularly around customer and staff movement. Our team implemented a detailed phasing plan to minimise disruption, with all works coordinated during quieter trading hours where possible.

In addition, the presence of extensive rooftop ducting required a flexible approach seamlessly integrating liquid and felt systems to deliver a consistent, manufacturer-approved waterproof finish across all areas.
