We were appointed to deliver a full thermal upgrade to the flat roof of the B&M store in Penrith. The store remained fully operational throughout the project and is situated on a busy high street, requiring careful planning, coordination, and site management to ensure the safety of customers, staff, and the public while minimising disruption during the works.

Strict health and safety controls were maintained at all times due to the public-facing nature of the environment, while the works were carefully planned and executed to ensure the project was completed efficiently without impacting the day-to-day operations of the store.

Results

The project was successfully completed with a full thermal roof upgrade delivered while the store remained open and trading. As part of the works, new deep flow gutters were installed to improve roof drainage and support long-term performance. Despite the challenges of working in a busy, high-footfall environment, the project was delivered to an excellent standard of workmanship and completed one week ahead of programme.

Conclusion

This project highlights our ability to deliver complex roofing upgrades in live retail environments, even within constrained high street locations.
