Job Title: Project Manager – Roofing Refurbishment

Location: South of England (Site-Based with Regional Travel)

Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Company Vehicle + Benefits

Reporting To: Contracts Director

About the Role

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of large-scale roofing refurbishment projects across the South of England. You will manage multiple sites, teams, and subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction are always at the forefront.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead roofing refurbishment projects from handover through to completion
  • Develop and manage project programmes, risk assessments, and method statements
  • Oversee site teams and subcontractors to ensure high standards of workmanship and health & safety compliance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders
  • Monitor project progress, financials, and resource planning, reporting to the Contracts Director
  • Carry out regular site visits, toolbox talks, and progress meetings
  • Maintain detailed project documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Identify and resolve on-site issues quickly and effectively
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams (Commercial, Health & Safety, Estimating) to deliver successful outcomes

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing roofing refurbishment projects within commercial or industrial sectors
  • Strong technical knowledge of roofing systems (flat and pitched)
  • SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certification (essential)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Proficient in project planning and reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Excel)

Desirable:

  • IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate
  • Familiarity with JCT contracts and commercial project controls
  • Experience working with asset managers, property consultants, or housing associations
